Colourpop Ad Campaign

The ColourPop advertisement introduces a unique concept where models showcase makeup products as jewelry, embodying the tagline “makeup makes the outfit.” This innovative approach aimed to resonate with the target demographic of 18-28-year-olds by unconventionally merging fashion and beauty. The ad faced numerous design challenges in effectively conveying this message while maintaining the essence of creativity inherent in makeup. Through a lengthy design process, this concept was able to be visually achieved through photography and Photoshop, creating a striking image intended to leave an impression on the audience by forcing them to look twice. By transforming makeup into wearable art, the advertisement not only captured attention, but also emphasized the transformative power of cosmetics in fashion expression. Along with the ad campaign being able to be used for print or billboards, it can also be used with social media, creating #hashtagmakeupmakestheoutfit, which allows the viewers to post their creative designs while also showing off the versatility of the makeup product.
